Covenant University bans students from using phones and tablets?

Covenant University, Ota in Ogun State has reportedly placed a ban on the use of mobile devices by students of the school. This was made public in a special notice on Thursday, March 13, 2014. The notice advised students compliance to the new rule as any student that goes against it would be suspended for 4 weeks and the device confiscated.

Covenant University, a Living Faith Church owned school, is famous for its very strict rules and regulations. You will recall that they banned the wearing of jeans, stilettos and some other fashion accessories by students a few months back.
