Between former FCT minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and the SSS!

According to tweets by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai's son, Bello El-Rufai, the SSS invaded the house of the former minister earlier in the day in an attempt to arrest him without a warrant.

The attempted arrest is in connection to a statement he made while speaking at the Transformed to Transform, T2T Nigeria, Conference and Career Fair, a leadership and empowerment initiative for the National Youth Service Corps members in Abuja on Wednesday.

He was reported to have said the 2015 elections could be marred by riots and other forms of violence that might lead to loss of lives and properties unless the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the security agencies ensured they were free and fare.

According to tweets by Mallam El-Rufai, the SSS have also invaded another of his house in Abuja.

Ms. Marilyn Ogar of the SSS have now confirmed that they now have a warrant for his arrest and there is now a manhunt to find him and arrest him.

Apparently the President thinks Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is the biggest threat in Nigeria! Boko Haram isn't getting so much attention!

  1. What did Mallam do again? GEJ suprises me sometimes, no democratically elected governement goes about using the police to arrest to arrest its opposition. 2015 will be quite hot.
