Policemen attached to the Badagry Police Division, Lagos State, and some hoodlums have been accused of killing a 25-year-old undergraduate of Delta State University, Ifechukwude Nwainokpor, and his friend, identified simply as Kazeem.
An eight-minute video clip of the gruesome killing, which was made available to PUNCH Metro, showed the two victims handcuffed together. They were covered in their own blood and beaten to death with sticks. Tyres were also put round their necks.
An irate mob could be seen in the video, shouting, "die, die, burn them, burn them."
At some points in the video, a policeman was seen interviewing the boys. He asked who sent them (victims) to rob the area, an accusation they denied. One of the hoodlums, holding a sharp object attempted to cut off the private part of one of the victims.
Nwainokpor could be seen pleading with the hoodlums and policemen to spare his life, saying he could identify himself if given a chance. His plea, however, fell on deaf ears.
Our correspondent, who visited the family of Nwainokpor on Tuesday, learnt that the lynching took place around 3pm on July 21, 2013 in Ajara area of Badagry, a community not far from Nwainokpor's family home.
His father, Samuel, told PUNCH Metro that his son was arrested while passing through a street in the area but a misunderstanding later ensued and the hoodlums pounced on him and Kazeem.
He added that Nwainokpor, who was nicknamed Ify, was a final year student of Geology and Mining.
He said, "On that particular day, I was in Ghana when I received a telephone call that I should come immediately. My wife was in Delta State taking care of her mother.
"When I arrived two days later, my relatives and the caretaker of my house told me that my son was killed in the Ajara area along with his friend. I was devastated.
"I got my son a temporary job with a Customs licensed agent since their lecturers were on strike. He worked everyday except on Sundays when he visited his friends. On that day, he went to see Kazeem and they were strolling around Ajara."
Samuel said because there had been a robbery in Ajara four days earlier, some of the residents were on the lookout for strange faces.
He added that when the youth saw two unknown young men, they accosted them and an argument ensued.
He said the youth called the head of the vigilante group in the area, one Asiribo.
He said, "Asiribo came to the scene with a locally-made pistol and handcuffs. He handcuffed my son and his friend before asking them questions.
"Later, it was decided that the boys be taken to the Baale, Agano Oniyon of Agamade Ajara. But as they were going, Asiribo, while trying to return his gun into its pouch, mistakenly shot himself in the stomach and died."
Samuel said Asiribo's death infuriated the youth, who blamed the boys for his death.
"The mob picked up sticks and beat them to death. Policemen were there," he said.
Holding back tears, the retired immigration officer added that the police treated the matter as a robbery case. Beating his chest, Samuel said there was no way his son would have been involved in armed robbery.
He said, "I have been living in Badagry since 1982. I have only two children and Ifechukwude is the first. Ironically, he was born in that same area where he was killed.
"I have lived in this area without any trouble and the residents can tell you that my sons are good boys."
Nwainokpor's boss, Aloysius Onyenibedi, described him as an honest and hardworking person.
"I trusted him to the extent that I used to keep a lot of money with him. He was good to my children and was honest," he said.
The Nwainokpor family berated the Divisional Police Officer, Badagry Police Station, Dankoli Mohammed, for the manner he treated the case.
Samuel said when he approached the DPO, he was told that his son was killed at midnight for armed robbery.
He said, "When the policemen came to take the corpses, guns were planted on them. Policemen at the station told the DPO that they were robbers. Their corpses were taken along with that Asiribo to Badagry General Hospital's mortuary.
"The following morning, the DPO released Asiribo's corpse for burial without investigation. My relatives went to the station and after showing the DPO the video, the matter was transferred to the Area K Command.
"At Present, Asiribo's son has fled, while the DPO has been unable to identify the policemen who were present at the scene when my son and his friend were killed."
PUNCH Metro however learnt that through the video, some people had arrested one of the perpetrators. The suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, said, "The incident is quite pathetic. Even if they were armed robbers, no one has the right to take the life of another. Why then do we have the police and the judiciary? The Nigerian police as well as the law condemn mob action and jungle justice. The commissioner of police has set up a high- powered investigation body to investigate the matter."
Would have been nice if they tried this particular pose of photo with a shark! A shark would have made the photo much more colourful...hehhe.
Errrm, let me digress a little. It would be great to see Iyanya and Shakira collaborate to remix Iyanya's 'Your waist'! Nobody can wriggle waist better than Shakira for sure.
During a February 2013 child support hearing, Bow Wow revealed to a judge that he only had $1500 in his checking account and his monthly income was just $4000. Less than a year earlier, Bow Wow's $200,000 Bentley was repossessed and the IRS announced that the rapper owed six figures in back taxes. Shocking news considering Bow Wow was once a multi-platinum artist who starred in several hit Hollywood movies. Current net worth: $10 thousand.
While not technically a rapper himself, as a producer, Dash has had a hand in a number of the industry's finest albums. After making over $50 million partnering with Jay-Z and forming Roc-A-Fella Records, the hip hop mogul now owes nearly $3 million in unpaid taxes, and recently admitted in court that he's "several months behind in paying" his personal bills, including $100,000 in rent on his home. As you may expect, said home comes lush with extraneous amenities—a swimming pool, full music studio, hardwood floors and an incredible view. Wonder how much debt only a modest view would eliminate?
After bursting onto the scene as the super-producer behind 90s hip-hop duo Kriss Kross, Jermaine Dupri went on to launch his own highly successful company So So Def Recordings. At his peak, JD earned more than $10 million per year and had a personal net worth of $60 million. Unforuantely, Despite releasing hit albums by artists like Jagged Edge, Da Brat and ironically Bow Wow, Jermaine has struggled to keep his business affairs in line. In May 2011, JD was allegedly almost bankrupt and within an inch of losing his home and master recordings to foreclosure. He somehow owed $500 thousand in back taxes to the state of Georgia and $3 million to the IRS. As of July 2013, Dupri is supporting himself with a $5 million loan from Sun Trust bank. If he fails to make the payments on that loan, Sun Trust has the right to reposes all of JD's possessions, including his homes, cars and all of So So Def's master recordings. Apparently, Money is a Thang.
Another producer on the list, Storch saw success during the early and mid 2000s, achieving a net worth somewhere north of $70 million. How did he blow so much cash so quickly? In the most stereotypical ways possible, of course, including buying several luxury cars, excessively gold jewelry, a mansion, and a yacht he named Tiffany. Oh, and literally TONS of cocaine. It's doubtful he was thinking of the pop singer when he chose the name, but it's safe to say Storch is alone now. Current net worth: $300 thousand.
Xzibit may know all about cars, but apparently he didn't even own one himself. The former Pimp My Ride host owed nearly $1 million in back taxes as of 2010, and was leasing a 2006 Range Rover for just $2,330 a month. The biggest reason for his downfall? Pimp My Ride going off the air. Xzibit earned nearly $500,000 a year from the show, and when it ended, the lavish spending continued—without the income to support it.
Alas, "Take it to Da House" did not apply to Trick providing money to the IRS—the southern rapper has avoided paying taxes over the course of several years since 2002, and owes nearly $157,000 to the government. His Miami home was foreclosed in 2010, making it all the more difficult for him to rep the 3-0-5.
He went from asking "What's Luv?" to "What's tax?" The rapper received four months of jail time for failing to pay taxes up to $700,000 in 2007 and 2008. He essentially pleaded ignorance, saying "You gotta understand we hire guys who are supposed to have Harvard degrees to take care of us." There's a lesson in Fat Joe's misfortune: don't completely leave your finances in someone else's hands. Even if they have a fancy college degree.
The former member of G-Unit was kicked out of the group back in 2008, and to say things have been tough since then is a bit of an understatement. The IRS raided the rapper's home to help pay for an outstanding tax debt of $334,000, he was targeted in a drive-by shooting, and in April 2012 he received an 18-month prison sentence for gun possession. At the end of July a public auction was held at his estate, with goodies like a soda machine, a 50 Cent plaque and numerous watches being sold. Current net worth: Negative $300 thousand.
Proving that reckless abandon for paying the government isn't limited to just men, Lil' Kim has failed to file over $1 million in taxes since 2002. Furthering the issue, she put her plans to release a new album on hold in favor of supporting her probable beau Floyd Mayweather during his prison sentence for domestic battery. Priorities, people.
Beanie Sigel clearly knows how to pay taxes, since he filed a $10,000 payment in 2001. But for the other years spanning from 1999-2005, he neglected to do so, and now owes the IRS over $728,000 in back taxes. Sigel swears that he lived a modest lifestyle, but friends took advantage of his wealth and lived it up on his behalf. Whatever the case may be, he's currently serving a 24-month prison sentence for tax evasion. And there's no dodging that. Current net worth: $100 thousand.
The Houston rapper owed more than $123,000 in four different child support cases. Scarface said he had, in fact, paid the money, but since he didn't do so through a proper court of law, there was no real evidence of him paying. Thus, Scarface spent 10 months behind bars before being released in mid-2011. He's currently working on a solo album and warned all fathers to send anything child support-related through the courts; otherwise "you not gonna get no credit for it." Current net worth: Negative $500 thousand.
On the bright side, some of these cautionary tales can have positive endings. In Method Man's case, when things looked their bleakest, it turns out all he needed was a little chronic. Or, rather, to stop smoking it for awhile. When repo men came to take some of the rapper's valuables, he didn't panic—it wasn't due to lack of finances that he neglected to pay the roughly $52,000 he owed in taxes, but instead a fondness for pot. "Because I got high, I forgot to pay. It was stupid. I'm an idiot for that," Meth said. Somewhere, Afroman is smiling.
In the filing he claims to have less than $50,000 in assets and $1-10 million worth of debt. DMX filed as a former resident and native of New York but a current resident of South Carolina. Some of his debts are pretty standard for a bankruptcy filing, others are particularly strange. The biggest debt by far is the $1.3 million he owes in unpaid child support. He owes another $21,415 for a car payment to American Honda Finance. He also has roughly $5000 in unpaid medical bills.
What do all this American hip hop stars do with their money? Na wa o.
We do have our roforofo moments but we work it out. A marriage where couples don't communicate and bear grudges is likely to be an unhappy one. Talk it over and don't keep digging up the past. Forgive…forgive…forgive. What I know for sure is that Christ is the foundation of a good marriage.
Having said that, I would like to add that when the time comes for anyone to choose a life partner, choose a partner who is not embarrassed to say "I am sorry" when he is wrong and never makes you feel small so he can appear taller. Marry for all the right reasons and never for what you can get out of it when you haven't put anything in.
Marriage takes Two: They say the future of a marriage lies in the hands of the woman but I say it takes two. Marriage is one of the world's biggest collabos between two strangers. It has no manual; you learn on the job.
It will be recalled that Sunday Mba, 25, played major roles in the victory of Nigeria in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Question: What is it with the celebrity kids on your new movie, 'Unconditional'?
Answer: We didn't set out to use celebrity kids. I told everyone including you the age range I want and people suggested the kids. Aghahowa's daughter has wanted to act since age 5, we auditioned Chigozie, and she did well and got a coach to coach them. 2face's daughter is just a drama queen. And this movie, Unconditional is not all about them, Dakore, Ruth Kadiri and I acted in it. It's the kind of move that will touch the heart.
Question: If your husband were to be a serial philanderer like Desmond's character in the movie, Lies Men Tell, what will you do?
Answer: I will castrate him, he knows and believes that. To me, there is no excuse to cheat, its either you are with someone or not, and if you are tired of the person, please accord the person decency of respect by saying it's over. Don't go making someone look stupid. The problem with me is there is no in- between.
Question: Do you believe what you are saying or are you saying it for the purpose of this interview?
Answer: I am saying,Uche Jombo-Rodrigues doesn't have in-between. That is the reason it takes me long time to make a decision or take a stand on something, but when I do, that is it. There is no excuse not to honour an agreement you have made, this doesn't have anything to do with this interview. It is the principle that guides me. It is not just about marriage, it's how I conduct my relationships, its either it is this or that, if that is my mind- set in a relationship, you should know that for marriage it'll be 150%. There is no room for cheating.
Question: So you believe your husband will or should not cheat on you?
Answer: I don't have control over what someone will do, I'm not God. I'm talking about me, how I conduct things. It's not an option that it will happen, I will not tolerate cheating.
Question: Are you saying you will not forgive the man who cheats on you and is manly enough to say I'm sorry?
Answer: If you are in that situation Sam, oh God! You are going to slave for me for life. And do you know any man that will want to slave for a woman for life, answer?
Question: Is it true you are older than your husband and the man you dated before him?
Answer: I have never dated or married someone I was older than in my life. If you have the illusion of someone's age, that is your business, and I am even too mature for my age. That is the problem, because men of my age are 'small boys' around me, I can't date them. I am someone who has to become a mother to some of my siblings at the age of 14. Because you are an under-achiever does not mean I should play down on my achievement. If age is the yard stick for you to succeed, you should not judge people with it, I don't have an apology. If I'm learning from people who are older than me that is because I don't hang out with my age mates; I don't think there is anything else you want to teach me, and if you want to judge me by the people I hang out with or by when I started my hustle, where the hell were you at that time? What really matters to me is that people who know me during my not-too-proud days are so proud that, this is me now. I have come far, it's something I'm grateful for, and I couldn't have even written it better if it were a story.
Baby Jasleen arrived on July 26 and weighed a massive 13.47 pounds. Babies her size are usually born via a caesarean section, she was born naturally. The mother gave birth at University Hospital in Leipzig and discovered she had a previously undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes, German newspaper Der Spiegel reports.
This condition, which develops at around the 24th week of pregnancy, can lead to a larger than usual baby size. Although both mother and daughter are doing well, Jasleen remains in the neonatal care unit. She is now officially the largest new-born in Germany. (UK Daily Mail).
Hia! 6kg! Normal delivery! That woman deserves an award. I saw this story and almost peed on myself o...lol. The degree of pain that woman must have gone through can't be discussed here!
According to Nigerian Vanguard Policemen at Bode Thomas division of Lagos State command, Tuesday, arrested a woman who allegedly set her 11-year-old house maid ablaze in Surulere area of Lagos, for stealing a piece of meat from her pot of soup.
The maid identified as Ita Bassey-Eno who reportedly escaped death by the whiskers, is currently at the Burns and Trauma Centre of the Gbadaga General Hospital, with doctors battling to save her life.Although her mistress, a staff nurse at an undisclosed hospital in Surulere, Mrs Nkese Iroakazi, reportedly denied the allegation at the police station, the ailing girl was said to have managed to state that she allegedly poured kerosene on her before striking a stick of matches to set her on fire.
The incident, as gathered, occurred last Saturday at 7, Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, after Ita rushed out of the apartment with fire on her, apparently in an attempt to plunge into a gutter. Unfortunately, she reportedly fell before she could get to the gutter. One of the residents was said to have succeeded in putting out the fire with the aid of a fire extinguisher, before she was rushed to the hospital.Eyewitness account, a resident who simply identified herself as Morakinyo told Vanguard:
"I was just alighting from the bus when I saw people gathered in front of the building. When I got there, I saw Ita whom we all call Eno on the floor. Then, the flame had been put out."Two men who attempted to carry her into a car could not because the skin at that time had peeled off. They had to get a slab, placed her on it and rushed her to the hospital. From what I gathered, the girl has spent barely one month in Lagos before the incident."She was brought from her village in Akwa Ibom State last month alongside another girl called Happiness. Since then, we have not seen either of them going to school."We heard that while Happiness was in the sitting room, there was a cry from Ita in the kitchen and before she (Happiness) knew what was happening, Ita rushed out of the kitchen and straight to the road shouting for help."How could someone who has children of her own treat another's like this? It was even the residents that alerted policemen who came to pick Mrs Iroakazi."95% burns
When Vanguard visited the hospital, Tuesday, a doctor who spoke on condition of anonymity expressed fear about the victim's condition, revealing that she suffered 95 per cent burns."It will take a miracle for her to survive. In any case, we are trying all we can to ensure she gets back on her feet.
That will entail some surgeries because her private part was badly damaged."Currently, she wears pampers and that area needs immediate surgery after the injuries would have healed."Ita was sighted with bandage all over her body, except her face and feet.
When a nurse approached her to administer the day's treatment, she groaned in pains. As at 3 p.m yesterday, police sources told Vanguard that the suspect would be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
How can a person a little girl's life over a piece of meat, HOW!

He granted an interview to Encomium magazine to clear himself:
''"They wrote that I am a tout, from what you are seeing here now, do I look like a tout or garage boy? They also said I'm a drop out, from the way you and I have been speaking, do I speak like someone who did not go to school? I have decided to follow the advice of those who said I should not join issues with her and her supporters. I am not a celebrity. I am an estate developer. She is the star that has her career to protect and I don't want to be the one to spoil her career.''
Funke Akindele has made this man a celeb and he doesn't want to leave the spotlight again. If only this man can just cap his mouth and keep his marital wahala out of the media, we will all be happy!
This goes to show that hard work pays and sometimes looking within you to find your talent can be much more rewarding than any office work you can think of.
But O'boy check out the pose, the hustle is real mehn! #Holds laugh....lol.
Boko Haram Strikes again: 20 die in Sabon Gari, Kano bomb blasts + 42 Boko Haram suspects arrested in Lagos, Ogun.
Culled from Punch News, read below.
No fewer than 20 persons were believed to have been killed in Sabon Gari area of Kano on Monday as suspected terrorists detonated about four bombs in the neighbourhood.
It was learnt that one of the explosions, believed to have been carried out by Islamic sect, Boko Haram, occurred at a drinking joint in Sabon Gari, where most of the non-indigenes reside.
The blasts occurred on Igbo Road, Enugu Road and New Road, opposite Ado Bayero Square.
The first blast was said to have occurred at about 9.12pm near International Hotel, while the second blast followed three minutes later.
Security forces immediately condoned off both sites, which prevented people from moving closer to the places hit by the explosions.
A resident of the area, who spoke to one of our correspondents on the telephone, said there were series of explosions, which had created pandemonium in the commercial area of the state capital.
The resident, who craved anonymity, said the explosions were still ongoing as of 10pm, adding that there had been at least two explosions before the latest one at about 9.30pm.
It was difficult to ascertain the number of casualties of the explosions but Channels TV, in its 10pm news report, said about 20 people had been killed.
AFP reports that "at least four explosions" had occurred in the Sabon Gari neighbourhood on Monday.
"There is confusion all over the place. There were four huge explosions, so huge that they shook the whole area. Everywhere is enveloped in smoke and dust," Chinyere Madu, a fruit vendor, told AFP.
Kola Oyebanji, a resident of the neighbourhood, believed "beer parlours" were the target.
He said, "My house is not far from there. All my windows are shattered."
The cause of the blasts was not immediately clear.
The spokesman for the Joint Task Force, Captain Ikedichi Iweh, confirmed the explosions but refused to give details.
The Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Mr. Musa Daura, who confirmed the incident, claimed that six persons were killed during the blasts while six others were injured.
Boko Haram had claimed responsibility for coordinated suicide blasts at a bus park in Sabon Gari in March that killed about 22 people.
However, in Lagos, 42 suspected members of Boko Haram were on Monday paraded by the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army in Lagos.
They were nabbed between July 12 and July 23 in various parts of Lagos and Ogun states
According to the Nigerian Army, the suspects fled from Borno State following a state of emergency declared by the Federal Government.
Although most of the suspects spoke in Hausa language, a few who managed to communicate in pidgin, confessed that they had been involved in terrorist activities in the past.
One of them, Hassan Ibrahim, who admitted recruiting some of the suspects, disclosed that he, in company with Ibrahim Ismail and Alhaji Black, killed a soldier and a civilian identified only as Buka in Maiduguri.
He said, "We rode a tricycle in Maiduguri and killed a soldier and one Buka. It was Alhaji Black that pulled the trigger. We also carried out some other operations in the area.
"Later, I met both Ismaili and Alhaji Black in Lagos, while I was riding okada (motorcycle)."
Black, who was also accused by Ismail of being a member of the sect, denied the accusation. He said he had been riding a motorcycle in Lagos in the past five years, adding that he was arrested during a raid in Kirikiri, a surburb of Lagos.
Some of the other suspects denied being terrorists, saying that they had been in Lagos for many years.
The General Officer Commanding the 81 Division,Maj.- Gen. Obi Umahi, said the suspects were arrested during raids by intelligence operatives. He explained the raid was carried out following intelligence report that the sect planned to unleash terror on parts of the South-West.
He said the raids were conducted at Ibafo trailer park and Ileke new trailer garage in Ogun State; Aviation quarters at Mafoluku, Oshodi; Ketu/Mile 12 Motor Park; Orile Trailer Park; Lekki new extension and Bar Beach.
These places, according to him, were fast becoming Boko Haram enclaves.
Umahi said that during interrogation, some of the suspects gave useful information that led to the arrest of others.
The GOC said, "The raids were conducted between July 12 and July 23 in various hideouts in Lagos and Ogun states which are fast becoming Boko Haram terrorist enclaves."
The army boss did not say if arms were recovered from the suspects, but he added that they were still trying to track their weapons.
"From investigations, we cannot say if they are in Lagos to stage an attack or running for their lives. Investigations would reveal that," he said.
Our correspondent learnt that due to the pressure from the armed forces in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, suspected Boko Haram members had been fleeing to the South-West.
The PUNCH had reported last Wednesday that the police in Ogun State had arrested a 22-year-old man, Giraima Suri, suspected to be a member of Boko Haram in Isheri-Kara in Ifo Local Government area.
The police had said the suspect, who hails from Bulunkutu Kasuwa, Maiduguri, Borno State, was arrested based on a tip off.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement in Abeokuta, said the suspect told policemen that he fled Maiduguri to the South-West following aggressive manhunt for members of the sect by security operatives.
The PUNCH learnt that since security agents foiled a terror plot and arrested a suspected terrorist, Ibrahim Musa, in Ijora, Lagos on March 22, 2013, there had been constant raids across the state.
The Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu, had also said last month that at least 104 Boko Haram members were being detained in prisons in Lagos.
The Director, State Security Service, Lagos State Command, Mr. Ben Olayi, who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone, said the sudden interest in Lagos State by the suspected sect members was predictable because Lagos has a special status.
Olayi said the SSS was collaborating with its sister agencies in the state to make sure that no terror plot succeeded.
He said, "We will not stop doing what we have been doing in terms of security. We will keep monitoring them (terrorists). We had anticipated that when the heat was much for them in the North, some of them would come to Lagos because Lagos is always the city of first choice.
"We have not made any arrests in recent times but we have been giving other security agencies information which they have been using to make arrests."

US based Nigerian award winning music director sentenced to 90 years in prison for having 6 kids with his own daughters!
I culled the story from Nigerian Tribune:
An award-winning Nigerian music director, Aswad Ayinde, found guilty of fathering children with his daughters will spend the rest of his life in jail.
According to Mail Online, Ayinde, 55, of Paterson, New Jersey, United States, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Friday after being found guilty in the second of five expected trials in which he is accused of repeatedly raping his six daughters, resulting in six children being fathered.
Mr. Ayinde was found guilty in his latest trial of having intercourse with a daughters when she was as young as eight-years-old. The second sentence adds to the 40 year sentence Mr Ayinde received in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter.
Mr. Ayinde is known for directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 smash hit "Killing Me Softly."
In a disturbing disclosure during his first trial, Mr. Ayinde's former wife said he was trying to create a "pure family bloodline" by impregnating his daughters. He even claimed during a pre-trial hearing before the first trial that "the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen."
In this latest trial, it was revealed that Mr. Ayinde began having intercourse with his second daughter from the time she eight-years-old, impregnating her four times.
The sexual assaults happened for almost 30 years until Mr. Ayinde and his wife separated, officials said. They occurred in numerous homes across northern New Jersey, even while the family was under watch of state child welfare officials, according to NBC New York. Some of the rapes even took place in an abandoned funeral home.
The family moving as far away as Florida to avoid investigation after case workers removed multiple children from the Ayinde household in 2000, resulting in Mr. Ayinde being arrested for kidnapping for trying to take them from state custody in a medical center, NBC New York reported.
He pleaded guilty to lesser charges and received a year's probation – as he continued raping one daughter for at least another two years, according to officials.
The depraved father also beat and starved the girls using wooden boards and steel-toed boots for even "minor transgressions," Ayinde's wife testified at the first trial.
Some of the children Ayinde fathered with his daughters were born in the home, with at least two babies who died in the home having been buried without notifying authorities or obtaining birth certificates, NBC New York reported.
Ayinde's tortured daughters were home schooled and isolated from other children, so as to keep the family secrets hidden, the station added.
With his wife too afraid to confront him, Mr. Ayinde carried out his evil plan without hindrance even while directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 breakout hit 'Killing Me Softly, for which he won 'Best R&B Video' at the 1996 MTV Music Video Awards. The Fugees are also originally from Northern New Jersey.

Aliyu told LEADERSHIP that he acquired the plot of land where the structure was erected in 2005 from an indigene of Zamfara State at a cost of N1 billion. Aliyu, who trained as a building technologist before venturing into oil business, said that he financed the building from his personal savings, as he did not obtain any mortgage from any bank.
He said: "This building belongs to me. I bought the land occupying this building around 2005 from one man from Zamfara State. I bought it for N1billion because of the location. Thereafter, a thought came to me. By the way, I am a builder. I specialize in building houses of model quality. Any house I build is usually very special. The whole idea about that is just for everyone to know that it is very possible to replicate the type of things we see in overseas countries in Nigeria.
"So, I resolved that since I had the opportunity of acquiring this land, I would put up a structure that would be equal to none in the entire city and maybe the country."
Aliyu, however, declined to disclose the total cost of erecting the structure. "If you want to know the cost of this building, the only thing I will tell you is to assess it yourself. I will conduct you round the whole house, then, I will leave you to quantify the monetary value."
He said that he intends using the building as the corporate headquarters of his companies: "There are eight of them altogether spanning oil and gas, real estate, telecommunication, etc; they will be resident here."
He said that he had been under tremendous pressure from both private individuals and public organisations to either sell or lease the property to them. According to him, his response had always been that the property is for personal use only. "We will occupy all the floors from the beginning to the end," he said.
Confronted with the claim that he is fronting for some senior government officials, Aliyu denied the allegation. "I will never front for anyone. I am on my own. I can never stand for anybody and, for this project, let me tell you that the funding is entirely from my own pocket. Yes, people have approached me and some have sent messages to me that I stole public money, but I have never worked in any public organisation before."
